11. Cookies
We use cookies for essential functionality, statistical analysis, and marketing purposes. You can adjust your cookie preferences at any time.
What Are Cookies? Cookies are small files or similar forms of storage transmitted to your browser by our or third-party servers. These files enable website functionality, enhance security, and remember user preferences, such as those made in a cookie banner.
Session Cookies: We use session cookies to store temporary information like your login status, allowing access to our online services. These cookies include a randomly generated unique identifier and information about their origin. Session cookies expire after logging out, closing your browser, or upon expiry.
Cookie Management: Users who do not want cookies stored can disable them via their browser settings. Saved cookies can also be deleted in the browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may limit some website functionalities.
You can also manage cookies for tracking and promotional purposes via the Network Advertising Initiative or the European opt-out page.
12. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service by Google Inc. ("Google"), to analyze website usage and optimize operations, based on our legitimate interests as outlined in Art. 6/1/F of the GDPR.
How It Works: Google Analytics uses cookies to gather data about user interactions with our website. This information is typically transmitted to and stored on Google's servers in the United States. Google is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement, ensuring compliance with European privacy laws.
Data Usage: Google processes this information on our behalf to evaluate website use, compile activity reports, and provide additional services. Pseudonymous user profiles may be created from the data. For enhanced privacy, we use IP anonymization, ensuring that IP addresses are truncated within EU or EEA member states before transmission. In rare cases, a full IP address may be processed on a U.S.-based Google server.
Opt-Out: Users can prevent cookies from being stored by adjusting their browser settings or downloading the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On. Additional information about data usage by Google is available at their Privacy Policy.
Google Analytics and Advertising
We use Google Analytics to display advertisements provided by Google's advertising services and affiliates. These ads target users who have expressed interest in our online offerings or share certain characteristics (e.g., interest in specific topics or products). This process, known as "Remarketing" or "Google Analytics Audiences," ensures that our ads align with users' potential interests and avoid being intrusive.
IP Anonymization: Google Analytics is used with IP anonymization enabled. This means that user IP addresses are shortened within European Union member states or other parties to the European Economic Area Agreement. Only in rare cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the United States and shortened there.
The IP address collected through your browser will not be merged with other Google data. Users can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting their browser settings. Additionally, you can stop Google from collecting and processing cookie-related data about your use of our website by downloading and installing the browser add-on available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.
For further details on how Google uses data, as well as opt-out options, visit the following pages: Google's Data Usage, Use of Data for Advertising, and Google Ad Settings.
Google Marketing Services
Based on our legitimate interest in analyzing, optimizing, and improving the economic performance of our website (Art. 6/1/f of GDPR), we use Google's marketing and remarketing services ("Google Marketing Services"). These services are provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google").
Google is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement, ensuring compliance with European privacy laws.
How Google Marketing Services Work: Google Marketing Services allow us to present ads on our website that align with users' potential interests. For example, if a user views ads for a product on other websites, this is called "remarketing." When visiting our website or other sites with active Google Marketing Services, Google adds a code or invisible graphic (referred to as "web beacons") to the website. These create individual cookies or similar identifiers, storing data about the websites visited, user interests, clicked content, browser and operating system, referral websites, and visit times. Additionally, IP addresses are collected, anonymized, and processed within the EU or EEA whenever possible.
This information may be combined with data from other Google services. As a result, users may see personalized ads on other websites based on their interests and behaviors.
Pseudonymization: User data processed through Google Marketing Services is pseudonymous. This means Google does not store names or email addresses but uses cookie-based data within pseudonymous user profiles. Ads are displayed to the cookie owner rather than a specific individual unless explicit consent is provided. Data is stored on Google's servers in the United States.

Facebook Pixel and Marketing Services
We use the Facebook Pixel to improve our online services and align advertisements with users' interests, in line with our legitimate interests (Art. 6/1/f of GDPR). The Facebook Pixel is provided by Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (for EU residents).
Facebook is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement, ensuring compliance with European data protection laws.
How Facebook Pixel Works: This tool identifies visitors to our website as a target audience for Facebook ads. The pixel ensures that our ads reach users who have shown interest in our online offerings or related topics. Additionally, it ensures that our ads are relevant and not intrusive. Data collected via the Facebook Pixel remains anonymous to us but is stored and processed by Facebook, allowing it to link the information to a user’s profile for its own advertising purposes.
Extended Matching: We use Facebook’s extended matching feature to upload encrypted user data (e.g., email addresses) to form target audiences ("Custom Audiences" or "Look-Alike Audiences"). For details on extended matching, visit Facebook's Help Center.
For more information on Facebook ads and how to opt out, visit: Facebook Ad Preferences, or refer to their Privacy Policy.
Facebook "Custom Audiences from File"
We use Facebook's "Custom Audiences from File" feature as part of our legitimate interest in targeted marketing. This feature allows us to securely upload email addresses of newsletter subscribers to Facebook in an encrypted format. The purpose is solely to identify individuals who might benefit from our Facebook ads, ensuring that advertisements are shown only to users interested in our services and information.
Facebook processes this data in accordance with its Data Usage Policy. For detailed information about Facebook Pixel functionality, visit Facebook's Help Center: Facebook Pixel Details.
You can object to Facebook Pixel tracking and the use of your data for displaying ads. To customize the types of ads you see on Facebook, visit Facebook Ad Settings. These settings apply across all devices, including desktop and mobile.
To disable cookies used for measurement and promotional purposes, you can opt out through the Network Advertising Initiative: Opt-Out Page. Additional options are available on the US website: About Ads Choices, or the European site: Your Online Choices.
Third-Party Services
In accordance with our legitimate interests (Art. 6/1/f GDPR), we incorporate third-party services and content, such as videos or fonts, to enhance our online offerings. These third-party providers may require user IP addresses to deliver their content. We strive to use providers that process IP addresses solely for delivering their services.
Some providers may use "pixel tags" (invisible graphics, also called "web beacons") for statistical or marketing purposes. These tags help track user interactions on our website. The pseudonymous data collected may include browser and operating system details, referring web pages, visit times, and more.
